A bit o/t...milk questions
Hi ladies!
I know this isn't exactly a BF question, but you all seem very informed and I would love some input.
My daughter is turning one next week and we'll keep BF for awhile, but I may be weaning in the near future because my dh and I are planning a vacation away (backpacking in the Canadian Rockies), so not exactly an easy pumping vacation. I am sad about weaning, but I am trying to be positive about making my year goal at least!!
Anyways, I am wondering what your opinions are on what milk(s) are most healthy to wean to. My ds(2yrs) has dairy allergyies and so he is on soy...I have thought about putting my daughter on soy so he wouldn't accidentally drink her milk. But then I know my Dr. will probably say whole milk, as that is what most recommend, and then I am now getting info. that soy is bad for our kids because of hormones(?) and so that freaks me out because my son drinks a ton of it....so what would you do?
Also, Evelyn doesn't drink from a cup all that well, but she does take bottles...does anyone wean to bottles or is it better to go to cups? I dread making these changes! BF is just sooo much freakin easier! I really want to go on this trip though...it would be really good for my dh and I....agh decisions!
Thanks for listening!!!
