Hey ladies, a little background about me: I'm mom to Clara (4 years) and Eva (9 months). It seems I hit a wall at right about 9 months, same thing happened with my first. Things had been going great, I was producing nearly 18 oz while I was away at work and only having to send 12 oz to daycare each day. Now I'm lucky if I can make 9 oz during 3 pumping sessions with my Medela PIS - dual with hands free and compressions, lactation blend which includes fenugreek and blessed thistle and I add a cal/mag supplement when I'm expecting AF to avoid that dip. Nothing is working, I'm drinking more water than I can stomach, eating enough calories and nothing is working. I am under a lot of stress right now (work, college, 2 LOs, etc.) but there is really nothing I can do about that and, actually this drop in my supply is the most stressful thing because (wouldn't you figure) Eva HATES formula. I have nothing against it, my first nursed for 10 months before we had to start supplementing but she never minded. I've tried every formula they make, soy and regular, she just hates them and I can't really blame her - they smell awful.
We were just in for her 9 month well baby and our Ped feels my pain but the only thing she suggested (that I wasn't doing already) was to let her have some calcium fortified regular soy milk - which she loves....of course. But it's freaking me out to give her so much - basically 1 feeding worth that I'm not able to produce. I'd rather give her formula than straight up soy milk but she won't take it. She spits and coughs and arches her back and literally pushes it away with her hands or blocks her mouth. GAH!
I took domperidone/motilum from inhousepharmacy with my oldest for the same reasons from 6 to 10 months when we let her wean because she was biting - and drawing blood (OUCH) which was very painful and affecting my let down. I kept my pinky close to her mouth to get her off but the damage was done, I was shell shocked.
My question (after that novel - thanks for getting this far if you have

) is where are you ladies getting your domperidone from? Drs here still won't prescribe it and I'm not interested in the mood swings with reglan. Is anyone still ordering it from IHP? Has anything changed since 07/08? As I recall, if you weren't home to sign for it you had to pick it up at the post office, is that still the practice? Anyone know?
