Default AF and supply

I got AF a few days ago and for the past 2 days and nights Mira has been waking every 3 hours to eat, keeping her hands in her mouth between feedings, fussy..you name it.

She was sleeping through for 10-12 hours and now i cant even get 4 hours again. Can AF effect supply? Can it be teething?

I think absolutely it could be either or both! Addi just broke a tooth and her sleeping improved instantly.

The only AF I have gotten was back at 7 weeks pp and that's when my supply bottomed out and she almost quit nursing. I've struggled (mostly psychologically (sp?) since then to maintain adequate supply.

You'll get through this, although a little sleep deprived possibly. I encourage you though to let her nurse as much as she needs to.

I wrote pretty much this same post this past weekend, but it vanished? Anyway, Rachael did the same thing for a few days when my period showed up - WHY?!??! By the way is it back so darn soon? I still get up at night to nurse her and she is ONLY BF?! Anyway, when did you get yours back with your son? Mine was 9mos pp - so this surprised me.

I am well back to normal - I have been enjoying some oatmeal cookies and I am actually leaking again this morning! That oatmeal works wonders!

Thanks.

I got my AF with my son when he was about the same age. Around 3/4 months. He was sleeping long periods of time at night. I dont think I had issues with supply though. Its so frustrating.

Mira is still cluster feeding. Last night I did give her a 2 oz bottle of EBM after I tried to feed her. She barely wanted it (it took her forever to eat it) and she still woke up a lot through the night. I wish I knew whats up with her.

good luck!! riley had slept all through the night after he was about 1 month and then out of nowhere he was nursing every 3-4 hours like that. he's starting to get back to sleeping all night again, about 3 times a week. i figured it was a growth spurt?
