Hello. I found out on Wed, Apr 9 that my DH and I finally got the BFP. We have been trying for almost 2 years and this was our 3rd ART cycle on injectibles. On Wed, my Hcg level was 199 and when I went back to the Doc's office on Friday, Apr 11 my Hcg only went to 247 and my progesterone looked good at 70. Now I'm majorly stressed! I will be going back to the Doc on Mon, Apr 14 for another check. I was having some good preg symptoms, full breasts, gas, cramps, tired and hungry a lot and now the cramps are gone, not really any gas, breasts still sore but don't seem as full, and I am just scared this may mean I will miscarry. I am only 15 DPO, so perhaps its too soon to get bad preg symptoms. I haven't bled at all yet, but am thinking that maybe it would be too soon for that to happen (as I normally wouldn't have my period until this Tues.
Does anyone have any preg success stories even tho their Hcg levels were off? I can't help but feel devastated.
I saw your message before I left this morning and it was so nice to know someone was thinking of me. Just left the doc's office, so I'll find out this afternoon.
Well it looks like the level came in at 263. Not good. I am scheduled for one more blood draw on Wed and then doc said if I hadn't started bleeding yet they might give me the methyl. Do you know why they'd give the methyl and not let it happen naturally? Also, she didn't think that it was ectopic, but how would they know?
Thanks for your support. I suppose we'll have to just keep trying. Not looking forward to the actual physical part of this process.
you are still with normal range...i would ask for an u/s just to be sure its not ectopic. they are most likely thinking its not ectopic if your not in pain. ectopic pregnancies are generally very painful however some ladies dont have pain until the tube ruptures.
How soon would I feel pain if it were ectopic? My progesterone was 27 (down from 70). Doc is not optimistic. She wants to give me metho if the #'s don't look good on Wed.
I'm struggling with metho. I really hate taking drugs, but don't want to wait too long and then need surgery if it happens to be ectopic. What's my best option?
a ultrasound would be a great start. i wouldnt take any meds until i had one done.
not all ectopic pregnancies are caught right away...it can take up to 7 weeks to confirm but usually by 5 weeks. you are about 4 weeks right?

Signs and Symptoms
Ectopic pregnancy can be difficult to diagnose because symptoms often mirror those of a normal early pregnancy. These can include missed periods, breast tenderness, nausea, vomiting, or frequent urination.
The first warning signs of an ectopic pregnancy are often pain or vaginal bleeding. You might feel pain in your pelvis, abdomen, or, in extreme cases, even your shoulder or neck (if blood from a ruptured ectopic pregnancy builds up and irritates certain nerves). Most women describe the pain as sharp and stabbing. It may concentrate on one side of the pelvis and come and go or vary in intensity.
Any of the following additional symptoms can also suggest an ectopic pregnancy:
vaginal spotting
dizziness or fainting (caused by blood loss)
low blood pressure (also caused by blood loss)
lower back pain
Even with the best equipment, it's hard to see a pregnancy less than 5 weeks after the last menstrual period. If your doctor can't diagnose ectopic pregnancy but can't rule it out, he or she may ask you to return every 2 or 3 days to measure your hCG levels. If these levels don't rise as quickly as they should, the doctor will continue to monitor you carefully until an ultrasound can show where the pregnancy is.

Thanks for the response. I am starting to get some pains in my lower right abdomen, although bleeding still has not started. It doesn't feel like cramps or gas...at first it came on quickly and somewhat sharply (I was not hunched in pain, just suddenly, ah! and then gone). Now its just kinda there all the time, more dull tho. So I'm not sure if its ectopic or something else. If my numbers go down on Wed, do you really think there's any hope? I feel like what I've seen online says there's basically no hope...
A little over a week ago I read some scientific article on ciliac dysfunction in the tubes (since I was on injectibles, my estradiol was 1,320, really high) when estradiol gets really high. Ever since then I've had this sick feeling that this was going to happen to me.
My LMP was Mar 16, so I am on Day 30, so does that mean I'm in week 5? I read somewhere online that they can't see via u/s until hcg is 1500 or higher, so do you think they can see anything?
If they do an u/s and don't see it or see it in the uterus, what do you think I should do?
first off put a call into your doc...the pain could be a cyst (no big deal) or another problem...i think if it was ectopic the pain would worsen but i cant really say for sure.
there is a board on her for ladies using injectables have you fentured there? they can help you more there on that topic.
by this point they should be able to see the sac. i had my first u/s aound 7 weeks and my lil bean was there as clear as day
if the pregnancy is in your uterus and is visible i think i would wait it out...being closely watched of course.
have you asked for an u/s yet? let me know if you call your doc and what they have to say be persistant this is your body and your lil bean

Your right about the pain. It was gone today...could've just been a cyst. I will ask my doc what she thinks about u/s tomorrow...I'm guessing hcg will be down tomorrow. Def not feeling the same preg symptoms as before. No bleeding yet, but again could be too soon.
I agree. I def don't want to be too hasty. I've seen lots of stories online when docs urged people to end too soon.
Everything should be fine, try not to stress to much. Just relax and take in the fact that you are going to have a baby in 9 mos. Congrats and I can't wait to see you little bean.
So today's levels just came back. 410. So they're still going up, but nurse said she is not optimistic and has never seen a successful pregnancy with levels/rates like these. I'm going back on Fri for u/s (yeah! thanks tai) and another hcg level. I'm still not optimistic. Just hoping its not in my tubes. We'll see tho.
