Icon4 update

Well no D&C is needed. I passed everything on my own. We can start trying again once I get my next period. I will be taking clomid 200 mgs, glucophage 1500 mgs and we are adding prog. supps. once I ovulate. There really isn't a test that we can do to find out why this keeps happening. Dr. T (my OB) thinks I may have a slight LP problem and hopefully the prog. will help us maintain a pregnancy.

Have you been tested for clotting disorders? After my 2nd m/c, my ob tested me for the Lupus Anti-clotting factor, antiphospholipids, and something else I can't pronounce. Of course, it all came back normal (as usual), but it's something to ask.

I really hope the best for you!!

Hellen

:hug

I wish you so much good luck this time around. You've had too many heartaches now and I want a sticky bean for you so badly!!!

I have a LP defect...have you ever had an endometrial biopsy...that test can show so much to the doc about LP defects.

I'm so sorry for all you have been through lately, I can only imagine how hard this must be on you. I'm glad to hear you are able to move ahead with ttc again and I truly hope that you see a sticky BFP very soon!

My OB won't do an tests right now since I have been thru so much lately.
My OB doesn't seem too worried since I am getting pregnant and I have 1 living child with us. I think if we had ben trying this whole time and no kids then he would want all the testing he could do. He thinks it just may be my prog. levels are not high enough so that is why I am losing the pregnancies so early on.

Hi Amy,

I want to say that I'm very sorry again that you are experiencing this heartache. I know that nothing I could say will make you feel better but please know that I will continue to keep you in my prayers.

I would also like to say that having these additional tests are non invasive and may give you some insight as to why this may be happening. I was tested for the following:

Anticardiolipin Antibodies
Antinuclear Antibodies
Lupus Anticoagulant
Antiphospholipid Antibodies

And a whole bunch of other testing...(ie...genetic)

It is acually a part of a workup that is done for people who experience multiple miscarriages. This type of testing can be done for women who had a child and are experiencing multiple losses.

I think that ultimately you need to be comfortable with the decisions that you make so please do not feel that I'm trying to force any ideologies on you. Just want to make sure that you don't suffer unnecessarily if it can be avoided.

Keeping you in my thoughts...

Kim

Kim, that is ok. I am used to being called my daughter's name. *even my parent's slip up sometimes*

My OB doesn't do the blood tests like that, only my RE and I won't go back to him now that I have gotten pregy without his help this last cycle. I am pretty upset with him already so I am just going to pay him off (for my IUI's which is only $375 that I owe) and then not go back. I am only dealing with my OBGYN now.
