Icon4 Remember the antiphospholipid thing I told you about?

Well I got the more of my test results back especially the ones that were supposed to be frozen but weren't....well I tested High positive for Lupus Anticoagulant. They told me this was the reason for why I kept having re-occurring m/c's. The Dr. put me on Baby Asprin 81 mg a day and when I test positive for pg they will start me on Heparin shots 7500mg a day 2x's a day until I deliver. I started crying when I found this out because I finally feel like I have some answers....I have an appointment with a High Risk Ob/Gyn for a consultation to see if I need to be monitored through my pg or if my Reg Ob/Gyn will be comfortable with the monitoring.

What a whirlwind.....this month alone I found out that I have insulin resistance and now Positive for Lupus Anticoagulant. I'll let you know more as I find out from the consultation...

Hope everyone is well!

I'm so happy that you finally have some answers Kim! That sticky bean is so close now, I can feel it! Isn't it great after all this time to finally have some answers? I know exactly how that feels! Good luck to you and may this cycle be "the one"!!

Kim,

That is great news!!!! I'm so so glad to hear you got some answers. My sister has a friend that was TTCing for 5 years and was finally told by her RE group that the reason she hadn't gotten pregnant was because she didn't really want a baby!! So she goes to another doctor who does a bunch of test and finds out she has some kind of insulin resistance, give her some drugs and within months she is pregnant and goes on to have a healthy baby. I know it was probably a pain, but I'm glad your doctor went ahead and gave you every test in the book.

Here's to a healthy pregnancy in your near future!

Jilda
