IVF #1 cancelled

Wow its been a roller coaster ride the past few days. I had my ER as planned on Friday and shocked everybody with having 34 eggs !! My u/s at cd 10 showed about 25 follies with approx 10 mature eggs so the drs weren't expecting to see 34 mature eggs 4 days later. I was told that due to OHSS they couldnt do the ET as it was too risky to my health. As you could imagine DH and I were very upset. On a positive note 24 of my eggs fertilized which is great result and have been frozen ready for me in January. So I am back in the waiting game yet again until my body is ok and then we have alot of embies waiting for us.

OMG Caroline, you have GOT to be sore. I had 12 eggs and felt like my ovaries were going to explode. I know it's disappointing that the cycle was canx, but you got 24 emby's!!! WOW, I know you're angel (s) are in the bunch!!

Caroline, so sorry that your cycle was cancelled this month. It must be so disappointing...but I hope you feel a little better today and hopefully with the holidays January will be here before you know it and you will be announcing your

Thanks, I really hope there will be BFP in one or more of those embies. I'm feeling a bit down at the moment and it isnt helping that I feel like I have just swollowed a hole water melon my stomach is HUGE !!!!

I was having some chest pain when I was breathing yesterday and went into the clinic this morning to have some more blood taken so they can keep an eye on me.

HOly Cow!!! What a hige # of eggs, well, you certainly respond quite well. I know you must feel a bit down, but you have SO much to look forward to now....when will they put some back? Try to give your body a rest. You have been through so much!!

Hi Kerri, I have to wait for 2 more AF's to arrive before I can start my FET so should be mid Jan.

I guess if was too much of a good thing. 25 embryos! Holy cow! Well the good news is that most of them fertilized. You could be an egg donor!

I've heard that some women actually do better on FET cycles than regular since they have more normal uterus. Hopefully that will be your case as well.
