I haven't been on too much lately. DH and I made our trip to Fargo on Wednesday, there were ten total couples that went through this orientation class. Some interesting things that were mentioned that I did not know and thought I would share with the gang here.
When TTC on your own, there really is only 6 months out of the year that a woman is typically fertile. However, one does not know if their fertile the 1st-6 months or the last 6 months... or an ever other month combination. Interesting when I got to thinking that my DH and his brother are both Sept. babies... along with their dad being a Sept. baby. My sister and I both share November b-days.
Of course I didn't write this down in my notes, but seems like the nurse said by 2012(or 2025) 25% of couples will face TTC issues. Makes one wonder if insurance will ever take note that this is a medical condition and should be covered.
The RE clinic works a tight shift. When we are ready to start (if we don't end up with a BFP on our own) I call on CD 1 and then they sorta take charge. I think I'm too the point I just want someone to tell me what to do... lol.
Between now and then (we are planning our first IUI around April/May) I have to just decide between taking follistim, bravelle or gonal-f. Which the nurse didn't bother going over the gonal-f pen because of it being so complicated. I want easy, so I may go with the follistim.
Have a good weekend ladies..
