Default Hi, I'm new. Any information?

Me and my partner aren't currently ttc. But when we start again, it will already be around the two year mark.

I just had an annual exam yesterday, he said that my uterus is backwards. He said it was common, among women.

I decided to come home and look it up online, and saw that it can be causes for extremely painful cramps (which I do get, and infertility), now I am just putting two in two together.

He said as long as I'm getting my periods normally there's no need for concern. I wasn't really comfortable with him, I haven't ever had a male doc exam me before.

I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about this?

Hi There!!

to our little place! Sorry to see you joining but happy at the same time that you found us! There's a great group of ladies here so I'm sure that you will find the support that you need!!

As for your question, I have a tipped (towards the front) and tilted (to the right) uterus and I have been pg several times - unforunately all ended in m/c due to auto immune issues but still had no problem. 2 of my cousins have tipped (to the back uteruses) and they both have children (more than one I may add). This is common too.

Have you looked into any workup testing ie:

Bloodwork (FSH, LH, E2, TSH, T3, T4, Prolactin etc...)?
HSG (Hysterosalpingogram) to view the uterus and fallopian tubes for abnormalities or blockages?
Immune testing
Laproscopy?
Hysteroscopy?

There is a wealth of tests that can be done to find out if there are any other underlying problems. Hopefully there is an answer that is treatable and that you will be on your way.

Let us know ....in the meantime aboard!!

Kim

Hi Ash!
I have a tilted uterus and one ovary is larger than the other and I dunno if I can get pregnant or if I am and I just miscarried. I dunno what's going on. But, all in all, I wish you the best of luck. As for you not being comfortable with your male doctor then I suggest seeing another one. What makes you happy matters most. So the best thing to do is go see another one. I hope everything turns out alright. Good luck.

Hello and
I'm afraid I can't help you with your question but I agree with the others that you should definitely find a dr. that you feel comfortable with. Also, if you have been ttc for 2 years with no luck than it's probably time to start considering some IF testing to find out if there are other underlying problems that are prohibiting you from getting pg. Good luck and if you have other questions feel free to ask away!
