Default Hello

Hi Ladies,

I'm not really new here, I've just been away for a long time. I used to post on the 6+ months board. Now I'm ready for the 2 year TTC board. This month marks 2 years of TTC for DH and I.

We've been through Clomid, HSG, IUI with Femara, a miscarriage this summer, and now back to IUI again with Femara. I just got AF on Friday after I really thought I was pg. I was so depressed and felt like it was the end for us. But I'm back to trying to be positive and hoping that we will realize the miracle of a pregnancy soon. My specialist gave us the go for a third IUI but after this she wants to do a follow up.

It's good to be back on boards with other ladies who understand. Like I've read some of your posts, I too feel like a science experiment and sometimes wonder how much more I can take. Most of my friends are getting ready to try to have baby #2 and we're still trying for our first. Anyway -- I'm hoping for good things for you all and that I can remain positive for myself too.

Looking forward to chatting with you all.

-Stef

Hey Stef!

Long time no see!

I'm sorry to read about your m/c this summer - I'm sure that was very difficult for you to go through after trying for so long. I will continue to keep you in my prayers. I'm glad that you found us here as I have found lots of support from these wonderful ladies who have experienced the same struggle and emotional pain of TTC. Keep in touch and hope this post finds you in better spirits.

Hi Kim!!

I saw that you were on this board and it was nice to see a familiar "face"! I'm sorry that you are still struggling too. UGH!

Thanks for the welcome back. I needed to come back to other women who can relate. I have good friends but none of them can really relate to all of this.

My best wishes and baby dust to all!

Welcome back Stef.

I know how hard it is to stay positive sometimes. It's up and down...let yourself feel what you feel...if today you are not positive then tomorrow you may be. You just never know what will happen day to day. So the only thing is to take it day by day.
I'm sorry I wasn't on this board when you were here but we find ourselves here together. This month also marks our 2 year TTC journey! I was diagnosed with a septate uterus back in Jan and had to wait 6 months for surgery. I also have a very bad luteal phase defect so that's why I'm on the progesterone hoping that helps.

Hoping your 3rd IUI does the trick!!! Keep us posted...when would that be??

Hi Kristen,

So sorry you have had to go through surgery. What is a septate uterus? How short is your LP? Mine isnt' very long although the specialist hasn't seen that it's a problem.

I am on CD 6 today so I'm expected to go for IUI around Nov 14.

I wish you much baby dust!

Thanks for the welcome.

Stef, A septate uterus is when there is a band of fibrous tissue that runs down the middle of the uterus sometimes all the way to the cervix. Women with a septate uterus if becoming pregnant have a m/c rate of 80%...that's because if the embryo implants on the septate it doesn't have enough blood supply to grow the baby. Also preterm labour usually happens as the baby runs out of room...so it's really scary.

Luckily I had the surgery before anything bad happened...I'm just still nervous about getting pregnant to see how my uterus responds.

I had an endo biopsy to determine the LPD because I was always spotting usually around 9-11dpo. The test was done 2 days before arrived, however the test showed that I shouldn't have gotten until 8 more days so something was wrong there!

Best of luck on the 14th with your IUI. If this month doesn't work for us then I'm on to IUI as well.

Stef,
Welcome. I'm sorry to hear about your m/c this summer. I'm sure you'll feel at home here. This board is full of wonderful girls. We've all been through a lot...so we understand.

I hope this is your last IUI and you get that BFP! Keep us posted on how you're doing. Good luck.
