Icon1 Finally Some Answers...(x-post)

If you all remember we did a panel of immunological tests and the E-tegrity (Beta-Protein) test at the end of December after IVF# 2 failed. We have some answers at least. I talked to the nurse today and need to schedule a consult with my RE next week. I have 1 copy of the C6777 mutation gene. But since I don't have some other (can't remember exactly what number that was now) it doesn't relate to infertility or immunological issues. I have 2 other categories that were slightly elevated but doesn't explain anything as well. All other blood tests came back normal as always. Then there's the E-tegrity which came back "negative". I don't have the Beta-3 protein needed for implantation. The nurse said my RE wants me to re-test to confirm the results. I asked if it's really necessary based on my history of great embryos but no implantation and just my gut feeling that I've said all along. Plus, I have the endo so it all makes sense to me that I don't have this protein. So, now I've testing for LH surge starting this weekend (in case I do have to re-do the test) and hoping for a consult next week so maybe we can move forward with the Lupron Depot for 60-90 days and straight into IVF #3 after that as recommended by the testing company.

It's still waiting but at least some sort of real answer, finally!

Oh wow it's great that you finally are getting some answers!! I can't believe it!! I also tested positive for MTHFR I have a mutation on the other gene which means we have to take more vitamin b. I don't think i ever tested for Beta 3 needed for implantation which I'm sure I'll ask for but I'm really glad to see that you are moving a step in the right direction!! Keep us posted on this!

I'm so glad you are finally getting some solid answers Kim, as difficult as it probably is to confirm what you have suspected all along. I hope that with these answers they can find the appropriate course of action that works for you! Good luck and know that I'm thinking of you!
