Icon12 Caroline......

Are you feeling any better sweetie? I know how hard it is to have AF show after a medicated cycle, not to mention your first after m/c. I'm so sorry. I hope that you're like me and you can pick right back up and get excited once the next cycle gets underway. Are you doing another medicated cycle? What's your protocol?

Hang in there girl. I'm thinking about ya!

Hi Andrea

Your a sweetie thanks so much for thinking of me. I have been very slack at the moment and only checking these boards once a week instead of every day ! Yeah AF showing up this month was definately tough, I normally feel very anxious and irrated leading up to AF then when she shows I feel sad and angry for a couple more days and then get over it and move on but this month has been different its now cd12 and I 'm still feeling down..I think it may also have to do with the clomid as my hormones are all over the place at the moment. I also coped with 2 pregnancy annoucements at work this week which didnt help but on a positive note I did turn down my very first baby shower last weekend ! I was very proud of myself as the whole time we have been TTC I have always gone to every baby shower, christianing etc and put on a brave face but this time I really couldnt be bothered so I explained to my friend that I couldnt deal with a room full of pregnant women and babys and she was suprising great about it. As for my protocol who knows !! I was only planning to do 4 rounds of clomid before moving onto IVF but because i know it worked I am probably going to do another 4 rounds which would be a total of 6, this round being my 2nd since the m/c and then move onto IVF.

Well thats enough babbling from me. I read your post about no AF so I am crossing my fingers and toes for you, I really hope it is your time this month as you soooo deserve it ! Hope you had a fabulous break at the lake.

Take care.

Hey Caroline,

I'm so sorry to hear about your recent m/c. Having had 2 of them myself I can certainly relate. I know that you know this already but remember we are here for you if you need a strong arm to lean on.

I will be praying for your recovery and that you will gain strength emotionally, physically and mentally.

Caroline,
Ohhhh...the baby showers are killer. I am skipping 2 this summer and I'm damn happy about that! If you don't want to go....you don't go. I'm sick of making everyone else happy. It's OK to be selfish every now and then. I'm sorry you have so many pg girls at work. I work with all men - thank god! Although, 2 of the guys wives had babies this year, and they come in all happy with the little ones...that is hard.

AF showed, as expected. I'm doing Follistim this cycle with Antagon and back-to-back IUI's. We are going to use the remaining 3 cyces of injectibles that are covered by insurance and then move onto IVF (if need be). I was annoyed with the timing of AF but it wasn't unexpected since we didn't do any meds/IUI this past cycle.

I hope the clomid does the trick for you. Are you doing it right now? Or waiting for the next cycle. Keep me posted.

Fingers crossed for you as always.

Kim - Thanks for your kind words and I'm sorry about your m/c's also.

Andrea - I'm so sorry that AF showed up. (HUGS) I'm glad someone else is skipping the baby showers, I normally the type of person who doesnt like to hurt other peoples feeling and try not to make a big deal about the whole IF thing but it gets to a point where enoughs and enough and you have to put yourselves first for a change. Yes I am on clomid at the moment, I dont have health insurance but thankfully clomid is very inexpensive its just the IVF thats going to break the bank and be emotionally draining so I hope we both dont have to do that. Oh well I'll just stick to looking after my fur baby for the time being.. hows your doggie going?

Caroline,
I hear you on the "break the bank" thing for IVF. Here it runs between 12K-15K. I've been saving some of my drugs so that might save some money, should we have to go the IVF route. My insurance covers the iui/injectible cycles so we are going to milk that first.

The baby shower thing sucks. Just skip em! That's what I do.
