Hi ladies!!!

My name is Chloe and I've been ttc#3 for 23 months now (started in August 2003). We did get pg right off the bat, but m/c at 12.5 weeks. 2 cycles later I got pg again but m/c again at 5 weeks (think it was a cervical pg). After countless cycles trying after that, we were finally assigned to an RE and on our second cycle of Clomid - another BFP, but also another m/c (at 5.5 weeks). Not sure exactly what is going on, but hopefully we'll be able to recognize our dreams and have that third at last!

Can't wait to get know you better

It's nice to meet you Chloe, I have been ttc#1 for 3 years and I had a m/c 4 years ago at 7 weeks. I am so very sorry for your losses. I hope they find out the problem and your dreams come true. I wish you the best of luck!

Thank you for the warm welcome ladies

I just had my follow-up RE appointment today:

Well, the good news is that the Clomid worked!

The bad news is that my RE is pretty sure I have PCO, if not PCOS - which directly affects both fertility with a lack of regular ovulation and of an increased miscarriage risk and I've had 3 in a row (which is suspected to be due to the high levels of circulating LH which may interfere with egg development and/or disrupt embryo implantation within the uterus). All of my other testing doesn't indicate anything out of the ordinary, except for the pelvic u/s - with very "busy ovaries". I have a blood test next cycle on cd3 (for glucose, insulin, FH LH and estradiol) to determine if I really truly do have PCOS or just PCO tendencies (i.e. "busy" ovaries).

In a nutshell:
1. Mandatory 2 cycle break Which means no TTC until September (definately over the 2+ mark)!
2. Clomid again from cd2-6 or 3-7 (the earlier the better) for another up to 4 cycles.

We have to just keep trying and trying and trying...because according to our RE, the Clomid will work and we are due (probability-wise) to have a good outcome!

you mention that you have PCO and maybe PCOS...i was jsut told i have polycystic ovarian disease and was wondering if you new the difference between polycystic ovarian disease vs. polycystic ovarian syndrome. I have looked up ino on the internet and i get some stuff that talks about syndrome and some that talk about disease, is there a difference?

Hi My name is Carlie. I was diagnosed with Endo in 1993.... I was having very irregular periods. Here we are 12 years later and now I am having no period. I went to a specialist and he is sending me for some blood work. He gave me Metformin and Aygestin. To start a period. Did a ultrasound and said my uterus is a bit inlarged. He thinks I have POCS . I have wanted a baby and been trying for over 2 years. Now I think I finally have some help. Anyone have any pointers for me. Dr said we will try clomid if the Metformin doesnt do the trick. I just got married in April 2005 been with my hubby since 2000. No babies yet. Anyone in Ohio give me a shout. How do you post a pic?

Carlie

Hi Chloe! Not sure if you remember me from TTC 6+ months.

I also started TTC in Aug 2003. We have had 3 m/c so far. All were really early. I also just started seeing an RE. My RE also says I have some sort of ovulation problem like PCOS but the tests show no pcos. She says I have poor egg quality. And clomid is in my future (taking a break for weight loss) Anyways it sounds like you and I are going through a lot of the same stuff....sucks eh?

Miranda, good to see you again! I wondered where you ran off to.

Good Luck to all of us TTC ladies!
