could this be an allergy?

we are stumped!

DS started taking little shaking fits around the same time his behaviour started to get really out of hand, almost like ADD/ADHD type. The 'fits' are almost like little convulsions. He had an EEG and CTscan adn they are clear (thank god) but we found out he was iron deficient. So i reduced the sugar in his diet and started him on iron supplements and not only did his behaviour improve but his fits decreased in severity and he has been having them way less than before (used to be upwards of 20x day).

SO, last wk, it all picked back up again!! and i am clueless....the only thing me and his daycare teacher can come up with is a possible allergy to a food dye or something along those lines!

does anyone have any ideas? advice? experience? TIA
