How do you ladies organize your stuff? My stuff is shoved in three drawers and it's a disaster. In my quest to de-clutter and organize this spring, I am looking for a way to get my scrapbooking things in order.

Do any of you use those totes? Are the worth the money? Do you have better ideas?

If all my things were 8 1/2 x 11, life would be much easier, but since a bunch of my albums and papers are 12 x 12, they are everywhere!!!

TIA

I have everything in a Rubbermaid tote. It is portable enough to bring to scrapbooking nights and fits under the bed when I am not using it. A couple of my friends have those wheeled bags and like them, but they are harder to store. Also, don't be impressed. In Hayden's book we just got home from the hospital. Bryce's book is still in the plastic. I haven't had photos printed since, uh, ever. It is on my list of things to do someday. Like when Bryce starts college.

I will try my hardest to take a pic for you tonight and try to explain my madness. I am in the process STILL of trying to get organized. My real goal is before this baby comes I want my room perfect. The problem is I have too much stuff. I am curious what others have done since I am always wanting new ideas of how to organize

Haven't tried a tote thing so I'm curious too!

I'll try and take a pic tomorrow. It's not perfect my system but it's working okay.

My papers are on those wire racks you see in your LSS & are in a cupboard to stop them fading. The ones I'm using go in a paper carrier thing (12x12) and that comes with me on a crop. I try and keep things by colour but some things get mixed up and some things like Basic Grey I keep together because they tend to co-ordinate better.

Albums... groan! I wish I had better way to store these. At present they are in those stackable cube things that fit 12x12.

Stamps & stamp pads - these are tricky. I've got them in drawers but ideally I'd like them on shelves somehow.

Tools I have in a tool box thing or in drawers. Fortunately I know where they are... mostly! My pens, glues, adhesives and little things are in those sets of plastic drawers that stack.

Stickers, alphas, rub ons are all in a ring binder folder and that works quite well. So are my scraps of paper.

Chipboard - still working on this one. Hard to store them in a sensible manner. Suggestions welcome!

Some girls I know use those pizza boxes as a means of storage for papers.

Most of my stuff is stored in Creative Memories organizers (since I sell CM). I have to admit that I am not as organized as I would like to be.

My 12x12 papers are stored in these. I put them in there by groups. I put the paper I would use as my background and all the coordinating pieces for decorations. I put any stickers or extras in the small pocket. I tend to buy paper with a specific album page in mind, so this works for me. I also have an old organizer that was made for these to go into for storage/carrying around.
12-inch DecoFile™ Folders

I have these for storing my pens, adhesives, scissors, shape makers and any other small things.
Vintage Memory Mate™ Case

I have to admit that most of the things that I want to go into albums for the boys are not really organized at all. Keegan's stuff is in a laundry basket and Truitt's stuff is stacked on my guest bed.

I put my 12 x12 paper in plastic envelope like this:

Then I store all of them in a tote. Mine has wheels and an extendable handle. Love it. I use those envelopes for stickers too. I can store my pens, scissors and other tools in my tote. I got it for Christmas 2 yrs ago.

This is similiar to what I have.

I don't have a HUGE collection of stuff but this keeps it all together.

I decided to do the tote thing and a plastic folder for paper like Candes. I'll probably look into some kind of sticker container too though.

I was at Michaels the other day and saw a bunch of totes and decided it's worth my money with their weekly 40% coupon. It may not be as big as I might like, but then again, that will force me to use what I have and get down to a manageable amount which is always a good thing. Now if I can just deal with my pictures I'll be all good to go...

Here are the open sided cubes I use to store some albums and also other bits and pieces. Plus those drawers with stamps in and other pens, adhesives, little bits and bobs.

My ancient desk I've had since high school where I scrap at home. I use that plastic paper taker on the left for papers I'm using and to take to crops. The tool box thing has chip board, my cuttle bug dies/embossing folders and some other stuff in it. (The basket thingy is my ironing!).

It's not perfect but it does work mostly! I didn't take a picture of my wire paper holder things. They're in a cupboard in Lydia's room.
