Default July Chat........

Sad, we used to fill up 10 pages in a week and now we have like 20 posts a month! Surely FB doesn't cover that much ground!!

Well, I thought I'd start a new thread for a new month since I'm determined to be around more now. Yesterday was DH & I's 8th wedding anniversary. Still doesn't seem possible. Somedays it feels like it was only a blink ago that he wasn't in my life........now we have over 11 years together, 8 years of marriage, 3 kids (one of which is already 6) and just moved for the SIXTH time together. Certainly makes me wish there was more time to sit back, take pause, and breathe it all in.

We're slowly getting settled. I haven't done much unpacking, and what has been done has involved some 'repacking'. The kitchen here is so small compared to what I had (and what I ultimately want) that there just isn't a need or a place to unpack all the pots & pans/decorations. Figure might was well get a jump start on moving again in 11 months and start off with some taped up boxes.

I've spent so much time on the phone with insurance (got a brand new roof the day we left, setting up renter's up here, etc), painter (the two walls of the house in TX that were completely covered by furniture (the entertainment center & the credenza in the study) both need a little patching & new paint), realtor, getting things turned off in TX, getting satellite set up here, etc that there just hasn't been much time for anything else besides sight seeing with the kids and stocking the pantry & fridge.

Friday we are going up to Estes Park/Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park with the ILs. They decided to head up there for the long weekend. Then they'll come down here on Sunday to see the new house, DH's office, etc. It's only supposed to be 78 on Friday and 73 for the 4th -- I'm looking SO forward to it. The DRY mid-80's have been a welcomed change, I'm really looking forward to a gorgeous weekend.

So what's new with everyone else? Weekend plans?
