and I thought terrible two's were tough
I honestly jsut cannot handle another day with Holly and her behavior. She turned 4 in January and she NEVER outgrew the terribel twos. She sits in time out for hitting several times a day and I honestly dont know what else to do. I feel as if I am not handling her right or something.
She gets mad when she doesnt get her own way and hits and yells or hits the baby out of frustration. because of the hitting, I warn her and she always hits again and then we carry her into her room and make her sit on her bed alone for 4 minutes. She always jumps up and runs out laughing and screaming, so now we tell her that we will shut the door if she gets off of the bed. So, we shut the door for 5 minutes and she screams the entire time. As a matter of fact, she is screaming now and has woken the baby from screaming,
Do I let the hitting go to save myself the trouble or stay with the time outs or try something else. NOTHING works! I pray that Samantha does not grow up to be like her sister...very stubborrn and rebellious.
HELP!
