Hey ladies! Yes, I've been a stranger, but most of you I see on FB so really I'm not a "stranger".

I have a question that I posted on my BIS06 board, but I also wanted to post it on here too to see if there were any BTDT ladies because I appreciate your opinions so much!
So apparently my body thinks I'm a teenager again because I am suffering with horrible acne not only on my face but on my chest and back. DH had the big "V" back in Nov. so I stopped my BCPs in Jan. which is why I think my body thinks I'm a "teenager" again. (Oh, to only feel like a teenager again!

) The only time I've not been on BCPs was while I was TTC and PG. So now I think my body has reverted back to puberty or something. I've been seeing my dermatologist for 6 months now trying various combinations of topicals and washes with no success. Now I am on a diuretic which has a small success rate in some women when with acne, but I just started it 2 days ago so I don't know yet if it is going to work. We are giving it 8 weeks to work along with a new combo of a topical gel and foam and if it doesn't, then the next route is Accutane. Normally, before Accutane they would try a round of antibiotics, but since I suffer horribly with yeast infections with those we decided to try the diuretic route instead.
My question, yes I have one....has anyone on here used Accutane or its generic equivalent? I know there are some serious side effects with this medication--birth defects being the main one--but with DH having the big "V" done we are obviously not going to be having anymore children and would use the required 2 forms of birth control while on the medication (the big "V" counts as one and go back on BCPs 1 month prior, the entire time while on the meds & then 1 month after).
From what my dermatologist has told me and what I have researched after 1 use of this medication there is a 95% success of cure of acne. There has been some bad press recently about it linked with depression and suicide, but nothing has been conclusive that it is
directly linked. Recently the makers of Accutane have stopped making it because of the bad press in the news causing frivilous lawsuits against the compay, but there are generic equivalents out there from what I understand.
I just wanted to see if there was anyone on here who has used it to see if they liked it or not. Like I said I don't even know if I'm there yet because I just started the diuretic and don't know if it will do what it is supposed to, but just wanted some BTDT opinions if I have to make that decision.
