Being convinced you'll have it is a sure fire way to pass. I skipped the 1 hr and went straight to the 3 hr with Mikayla, and passed with flying colors!
To answer your questions:
Dietwise, it's seriously just carb watching. I didn't actually HAVE it per se, I was only borderline. So my diet wasn't uber strict, but still sensible. I was allowed a 30 carb breakfast, 15 carb snack, 45 carb lunch, 15 carb snack, 45 carb dinner and a 30 carb snack at bedtime. You basically eat every 3 hrs.
Since my sugars were never over when I tested, I learned how I could sneak in a treat and not have to be super strict. Like I knew exactly how many chocolate chips I could put in my yogurt at lunch as long as I only had a one-slice sandwich instead of two.

I can tell you I never went hungry. You are allowed a lot more carbs than it sounds like when looking at the numbers alone.
In my case it DID NOT cause me to be induced. It would have had Gabe not decided to come on his own. My technical edd was 5/1 (even though I changed it to 4/27 since I was pretty sure I O'd early that month), so they would have induced on the 2nd at the latest. Because of Gabe's kidney dilation, I had already had a weight check u/s at 37 wks, so we knew he was still plenty small and nowhere close to measuring like a GD baby. So an early induction wasn't considered.
As for traveling, I'm not 100% sure. I was never told I couldn't travel, but then again I never asked. I don't see why you couldn't. You can follow the diet away from home as easily as you can at home. I guess maybe if you were insulin dependant and/or were required to see the dietician on a weekly basis, you may be asked not to travel. But I doubt it would matter.
Best of luck passing. I'm sure you're fine!
