Amy - Looks like the perfect spot for the playset.
Kate - Any word?
Melissa - Love the pics. He IS cutie. Sorry you aren't getting any sleep. If it's any consolation I haven't for the past 3 days.
Carrie - So is the new change in plans bringing in the customers? It's ALWAYS nice when our jobs are enjoyable.
Jamie - STILL working on the birth story or is it in the PB? I haven't been over there in a while
Andy - We REALLY need a new bed. The whole shootin match. Tucker needs a bigger bed. His legs often hang over the edge or he sleeps sideways.
Anyone have some soft soled boy shoes? I don't feel like spending $25 or is it $27 now on Robeez? I've gone to Target (several times) and can't find the pair I like. I want them to look like "real" tennis shoes not those cutesie dogs/sail boats/frog shoes. They aren't universal, cute, but not functional enough for me. He wears a medium and the pair they do have that I like is in large... of course. I've returned 3 pairs of different kinds of shoes, hoping something would work but I can't get his fat foot in there. I want the soft soled and it's just tough. *sigh* 3wide fits nice but I don't want to put him in hard soles just yet.
Candes - pedipeds are great but a little pricey, perhaps try looking for them on ebay...another great shoe are SKR's (See Kai Run). Totally bendable and cool looking

Candes, we have the See Kai Run shoes for R too, and I love them too.
Amy, LOVE that playset. It fits so perfectly in your yard.
We had given our realtor our best offer, which was over what we wanted to spend already. Plus interest rates are higher than what we currently have. They countered at 5K above our offer. It sounds silly to let it go over 5K, but we're already stretching it really thin. We are also proceeding w/ adding on, and that would be cheaper, but we wouldn't have a back yard, and renovating (for us involving moving out completely for about 6 months) is going to be very hard. It's so hard to know what to do.

Melissa - Love the party pics. Looks like B had a great time. I have one kid who likes frosting and one who likes cake, so between the two...they lick the platter clean LOL And yes, Raphael is our daredevil. He just climbed into his sister's play pram, stood up and tried to surf, moving his body back n forth.
Angela and Carrie - 4000sf sounds so big. I can't even imagine.

With the market being what it is Kate, they may be the ones not willing to let it go for 5K. There are a lot of houses around my neck of the woods that are selling for less than what they owe and 5K would mean nothing to them. You never know...they may be willing to concede when they find out you aren't. GL!
4000sf is mansion size around here. Our house is 1500sf and is a 4bdrm, 2 bath and seems huge! Our first home was 900sf, and it had a great cozy feeling.
You can bet that if I had a 4000sf house I'd have a maid service come in. I can barely keep up now!
It's Rebecca's birthday tomorrow, Thursday. I just finished wrapping up her gifts and I'm feeling all nostalgic now. Last year Ty was just a pipsqueak too, so I am feeling doubly nostalgic. May have to go look at my pics from when she was born...
Happy Birthday, Rebecca!!!! 3 was such a fun age for Hayden.
Rosalie, glad you checked in! That is very exciting about going off BCP soon!! I hope the christening and bday plans go smoothly. Can't wait to see pics from both.
Amy, I am with you on needing a housekeeper for any larger house than I have now! About half of my SAHM friends have cleaning people. The house we have now is bigger than our last house but feels so much smaller. Andy was right--it is all about the design. I still miss our old house...
This morning I am trying to fit 3 hours of errands and activities into about 2 hours. Wish me luck. lol
Candes, I don't know how I missed you on Twitter before! I find it all a little odd, too, but interesting. It says to write about what you are doing but a lot of people just write amusing anecdotes, I've noticed. I try to do both (though I don't know how funny I am!).
Me too. I loved my house, not my neighborhood, but my house. One bathroom addition and it literally would have been perfect. We would never have needed anything more.
So far it's been a good b-day. Rebecca started her morning off with a sprinkly donut and then I took the kids to Pump It Up for some play time, so now they are napping away. Hopefully it'll be a nice long nap. I have a ton to do!
Hmmm....may not be such a long nap after all...Ever since moving her into the big bed, she now gets up after we put her down. She never comes out of her room, but she closes the door, opens the door, closes the door, etc. *sigh* Off to go speak to Rebecca.
Enrique is walking. Well sort of. He was taking 2 steps and then crawling. But now he is taking 5 steps falling and getting back up. he is actively trying to walk. I am so sad that is he is growing up. I thought I was ready but I am not
Happy Birthday Rebecca. Hope it was a good day afterall...
I agree on flow/layout. A small house can feel big and a big house not big enough. That's why I wanted to renovate to make our house a small big house kwim?

I'm exhausted! We had an awful thing happen this evening. Keegan was playing in the backyard on his swing set. I had just checked on him and he was fine. Next thing I know he is crying and running in saying he got something in his eye. I looked at him and knew something was really wrong. I finally got out of him that he had gotten into the hot tub chemicals and sprayed some cleaner in his eye. I got the bottle and immedialtely freaked out. It says right on the front of the bottle in huge letters that it causes eye and skin damage and then lists the phone number for poison contorl. I googled poison control and called right away. (I didn't see the phone number on the bottle until later). I was told to have another person help me hold him down and flush his eye out at the kitche sink for 10 minutes. Have these people ever tried to hold down a 3 year old? It took dh, mil and me to hold him down and get his eye cleaned out. We even had to have bil come in and take care of Truitt, since he started screaming at the same time. Keegan was screaming, kicking and begging us to please stop! It tore me apart to watch him like this, but I knew it was important to get him cleaned up right away. I was so scared of something permanent happening to his vision. In the heat of the moment, dh and I were losing it. We were yelling at each other like you wouldn't believe. Talk about stressful! Thankfully, Keegan's eye looks ok. His eyelids and skin on his arm are very red. It looks like a bad rash or chemical burn. Well, I'm off to snuggle more with Keegan. I think we all need extra snuggles tonight! Dh will do a better write up and post a picture on our blog later.
OMG how awful and scary. Will you take him to the doc tomorrow? How long until it gets better. It sounds like there will be no lasting damage and thank goodness for that. I can't imagine having to rinse it out that long. How heartbreaking to hear you little one pleading like that. But you had to do it. DH and I also tend not to hold it together under the stress, and probably would have behaved in the same. Hoping that all is ok and heals quickly.

Oh, Angela, how scary. I am glad Keegan is okay. I am also glad you have family so close by to help!! I remember once my mom left a measuring spoon on the counter and I thought it had powdered sugar on it so I licked it. Turns out it was chlorine for the hot tub. I didn't get sick but my tongue sure burned. Blech. Kids are not always the smartest!
I need to get to bed, wasted my whole evening looking at real estate I will never buy. We have a busy day tomorrow, playdates before and after lunch, and a busy weekend. It is Viking Fest so there is a carnival and parade. Hayden is very much looking forward to riding the rides, especially the ferris wheel. I am afraid of heights (and carnival rides of questionable maintenance) so I am not looking forward to this. lol There is also a 1 mile road race Sat. a.m. that I am planning to do. I did it last year with Bryce in the front pack. He will be a little heavier this year.
Angela that is so scary. I am glad he is ok. It is always hard to see our kids in pain. and me and dh turn on each other and start yelling whenever something like that happens.
Sara - WTG E! I know how ya feel. I certainly didn't encourage Carsen to walk like I did Tucker. It still catches me off guard to see C coming around the corner. He' now trying to run.
Angela - Holy Cow! I think DH and I would have acted the same way. Poor Keegan. I could see Tucker doing that. He loves spray bottles.
Melissa - I'm the same way w/ ferris wheels. I used to LOVE those when I was younger but now I'm older and wiser, knowing I could fall out and kill myself! Kind of like swinging so high and jumping out. What was I thinking? Road race? You're running w/ that "moose" on your chest?
For the record I live in a 1500 sq ft, 3 bd/2bath and have the darndest time keeping it clean. It's a bit smallish for me but anything bigger right now would be daunting. I'd hate to move. I'd miss my garden and everything we've done back there. BTW my tomatoes are turning red!!!
