Update On Me

Just wanted to update my situation, I went to the Dr. on 6/23 and found out there is nothing more I can do but to have an IVF but the problem is I can't have an IVF because my insurance doesn't cover it and I can't afford it

.I knew if it came to this it was the end for us because we don't have the funds.I am having a really hard time with this because I have always dreamed of having a baby and now it's not possible

My heart is breaking for you.... I wish that it could be different, but htere are still ways out there to be a mommy. Tousands of babies in the US need to go to great homes like yours. I hope that you and DH are supporting each other in this grief. May prayers are with you both.

I know the road is very tough. Have you thought about adoption at all as an alternative? Many times you get some of the $ for adoption back as a tax cut the year you adopt. Up to 10,000 dollars in some circumstances.

I wanted to up date you as well. I went to the RE last week and he is going to start me on a series of shots during my next cycle

. I don't do well with shots if we are still ttc after 3 months of shots (yikes) then we will go to iui. I'm getting a little freaked out. This seems like it all happens very fast now. Did you do all this? How bad are the shots? Do they sting abd burb or just pinch? Arrghhh I HATE needles!!!

I have thought about adoption but the costs there seem to be very steep too but we are looking into it. I haven't given up just yet I have decided to go over my OB's head and have a sperm count done on my husband he felt it wasn't necessary but at this point I believe that it is so My husband made an appointment. I haven't had to do the shots but I heard that they are not too bad I too am not much on needles so I feel for you but I am sure it will be fine. I wish you lots of luck and I hope you will succeed in the next few months.

That is my prayer for both of us.....success. I have thought about you a lot in the last week and hope that both of you are dealing with this. DO have a sperm count done. It seems to me that your doc should've ordered that long ago. After all you did get preg once! It MUST be possible! I would also contact your insurance group and see if you can't find a way to get an appointment to a reproductive endocronologist out of them. I got mine because the only guy in the city wasn't covered but they covered the same service in a larger city in the state. It IS worth the fight, my RE feels that he can help us get preg. in the next six months....after a 2 year wait, 6 months sounds great!

Thank you so very much for your thoughts and I too have thought alot about your situation as well and I hope that your RE can make it happen for and your DH. 6 months does sound so much better than years. I did some research on the shots you had mentioned and they have had alot of success with them most people have gotten pregnant with in two cycles of the shots. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you and I will be praying for you. Let me know how it goes.

Irony of all Ironies....
Normally at this time of month (CD30) I am hoping and praying that

won't come butting her ugly head around for a while. Now I find myself wanting to throw a welcoming party.

I can't believe how confusing this all is. Talk about emotional roller coasters. I thought that I was moody before. DH called a little earlier tonight. He is attempting to make it through his first working night not smoking....2 1/2 days for him right now. I am working on ending week 1 as a nonsmoker. Our future babies better appreciate how much we wanted them around!!!!!!!

When is your DH sperm test? It's not so bad, DH did NOT love the idea of it, but would do it again if I asked him he said. I think it's cute how much trouble these big tough guys have with the ONE test they have to take!
