I am new to the boards a good friend of mine told me about them, and she said they were very helpful so I am hoping someone could help me also!
I am 22 and been married for almost 5 yrs now, we have a 4 yr old daughter together. We have been ttc baby number 2 for about a year now. The same friend told me to do an calender online to check when I am ovulating but the thing is my peroid is so irregular its not funny. Some months I go 28 days and others 45 and even some I dont get it at all. So I was wounding how I can do an calender when I dont know how long my peroids are in between. Also this is my first time trying to do the check my ovulating so I also wanted to know how else you can tell your ovulating. I have heard of taking your temp but when do you take it and how high does it need to be to know your ovulating? And those ovulating test which one work and dont work? Also I was curiuos once I find out when I am ovulating when do I have sex? Just on those days or so many days before and after? Please anyone that can help!!

I have very irregular periods too--some months I don't even have a period. Turns out I have PCOS. You probably want to discuss your irregular cycle with your OB/GYN.

You are supposed to ovulate 14 days before your period. But if you don't know when you will get your period, you won't know when you are ovulating. I'm not real sure about the temperature thing. It's never worked for me. I *think* you take your temp every morning before you get out of bed. Write it down every day. Then, one day your temperature will jump up a few degrees. This is the day you are ovulating. You can have sex that day and the day after. It's also good to have sex the day before you are ovulating as well. Again, I'm not real sure about basal body temperature as it's never worked for me. Baby dust!

What is PCOS?

I just checked on line what that is and I am deff calling my dr Mon to get an appt if that isnt it maybe they can find out what is wrong with me! THANKS!!

You can use the ovulation tests, that is what I use. i was told by the pharm. that the urine test are more accurate than the saliva.
