Icon7 New.... Here's my story

Hi all,

I am glad that I have joined what seems to be a caring and supportive group of women. I am 21 years old, but my DH and I have been trying to conceive for approximately 2 years. Yes, we are young, but we are very stable in almost every aspect. We are financially stable, we have been together for 8 years, we have supportive families, we have a house, etc. Currently I am a Nursing student(Almost done)! I have never really been this dedicated to finding out why I am infertile, because I am so young, but I know in my heart that if I wait a few years it might be too late. So here I am!!

From January-September I did everything that I could possibly think of and research on my own. Took my temperature, OPK's, timed intercourse, and so on. Finally in October of 2008 I decided to go to see a specialist. At my first appointment I basically just informed her of everything that I had done. She prescribed me provera, clomid and set me up for an HSG. I had the HSG done in late October and to my surprise, the test was not very helpful. The doctor said that my cervix was too tight and that there was scar tissue blocking the balloon. Sad and disappointed I left the hospital that day without answers. I figured I would at least be able to rule out whether my tubes were blocked or not.

I was so distraught about what happened with the HSG that I began to suppress my feelings and did not want to speak with anyone or try any longer. It is so hard seeing friends and family with their children. I am so happy, yet so jealous of them.

I finally went and got my prescriptions and began taking clomid approximately 4 days ago. I am on 50 mg days 5-9. My periods are extremely irregular, always have been. I had my period for approximately a month this time, and I did not start clomid until it was about over.

I am always so confused and constantly have questions. I am only going to post a few right now and I would dearly appreciate any answers.

1. What could be the possible reason for my irregular periods?
2. Can past UTI's be the cause of scar tissue on my cervix?
3. Will clomid work being that I waited until my period was almost over to take it(Due to the fact that my period lasted 1 month)?
4. Where should I go from here?

Thank you all for reading and for any support offered. I am thankful and I send everyone baby dust!!
