Hey everyone, nice to meet you. Boy do I have a lot on my mind. As I am sure most of you do to. First of all. Hubby had reversal last February. The vasectomy was 11 years old. We had two SA's checked and zero sperm. So, this morning, my hubby had reversal #2. Doctor called after they worked on the left side (which took 3 hours), and said blockages and scarring were way up there. He ended up attaching vas deferens to his "epidemal"gland where he did find sperm. When he got to the other side, it was not repairable. No sperm were seen. So, he says we have only a 25% of patency. And of course pregnancy rate is lower. We went ahead and had sperm frozen. Doctor told me if we were in a hurry to look into IVF. So naturally, were I am a newly wed and have no kids, I am upset and devastated. I feel like Jesus is picking on me. Hubby's ex got to give him two children and didnt have to beg for them. I am getting jealous of her because of it. My hubby went through this two times for me. I am thankful for that. How do you ladies keep your faith?

I'm so sorry you are going through this, and I'm even sorrier I did not see this post sooner.

The good news is, that if your DH is producing sperm in the one testicle, you are a great candidate for IVF w/ ICSI. Even if the sperm can't get into DH's ejaculate, they can still extract sperm through a needle biopsy called TESE, and use that.

I know it is scary, but I am sure you will be able to have children, just maybe not how you planned. I think you just can't think of what could have been . . . you are given a challenge, and you just have to rise to the occasion!

Keeping the faith is hard to do! Hopefully you will have a successful IVF and a beautiful baby!
