Icon7 Introduction

I have these boards bookmarked, so I probably introduced myself here a long time ago. However, now that my baby fever has heightened yet again, I have returned.

My name is Laura (26), and hubby is Micah (25). Our TTC journey has been a long one. I'll attempt to summarize:

The First Time Around

- Started TTC in 3-2002
- Miscarriage @ 6 weeks, 6-2002
- Ectopic Pregnancy, diagnosed @ 8 weeks, 12-2002
- Clear HSG, 3-2003
- Failed natural (no medications) IUI, 6-2003 & 7-2003
- Failed IUI w/ 100 mg Clomid, 8-2003
- BD + 100 mg Clomid, success! Twin daughters, Molly and Mia, born 5-3-2004.

The Second Time Around

- Started TTC in 6-2004
- Miscarriage @ 6 weeks, 4-2005
- Miscarriage @ 5 weeks, 5-2005
- Two failed rounds of Clomid, 8-2005 & 9-2005
- Clear HSG, 8-2005
- Miscarriage @ 5 weeks, 11-2005

Don't get me wrong... I am very grateful for my little girls. They are what I wake up for in the morning and make my life complete. If we just aren't able to have any more children, I know we will accept it and feel incredibly blessed to have not only one, but two children. That is an amazing thing, and I appreciate it every day. I am especially grateful because they are healthy... At 18 weeks, a level-II ultrasound revealed Echogenic Foci on both of their hearts, a choroid plexus cyst on Molly's head, and short femur/humerus measurements on both babies. The doctors had to rule out dwarfism, but we didn't know until they were born whether they would have Down Syndrome. Needless to say, the second half of my pregnancy was very scary. The girls were born healthy, though Molly has a port wine stain on her forehead.

So here we are, still TTC, and not sure when/if something will happen. We'll see! If anyone is interested in learning more about my family, check out the link to my site in my sig.

Thanks for reading all this!

Hi Laura

You have been on a long journey indeed. I never new pregnancy was could be so hard for some women. Its for sure some thing you have to go through to truly understand. I am happy that you have two lovely daughters and wish you all the best with ttc your next bundle/bundles of joy.

I'm ttc myself. I seem to get pregnant just fine its actually keeping the baby to full term that I can't get right. I'm trying this cycle with IUI. I hope it works. The doc even put me on Clomid to up my egg production. I produce eggs just fine I guess he just wanted me to have more to pick from.

Well, hopefully I'll see you around and see how things pan out for us. BABY DUST
