How long if PG could test negative on HPT

Does anyone have a knoweldge of testing negative early on in PG, and how long till it will show if tests positive?

I commended on your other post, again welcome!

My guess is it would depend on your level of pregnacy hormone and the type of test. Some test you are able to take 4 day before the miss period. You had meantion the last period was not normal on your other post. So my suggestion still is retake HPT and call the doc for all your options.

There are a lot of things that can have an impact on how early that you can get a true result. When you O'ed, your cycles, etc. can change the days. I know most tests say that you can take them 3-4 days before your missed period so I would go with that. I hope it is positive for you!

With my first 2 pregnancies, a BFP showed up the day AF was due. This month, I had ewcm on cd14 and assumed i ovulated on cd16. I have what i think is a regular cycle...29 day cycles for the past 2 months and had my longest cycle ever in Sept at 30 days. I am now 5 days late for AF(cd 34, 19dpo?) and have gotten all BFN's. I tested with a FRER, the one that says u can test upto 4 days before AF is due, tested with a Clearview(cassette type test), a ClearBlue, and an Equate and all with the same result....so i'm assuming i'm not pg but gonna try to get into the doc's tomorrow to get it confirmed.

So my only advice is, every woman is different...and i pray u get a BFP without any hassles.

Ladies, thank you for all listening and helping me with this issue. It is 1/11 and I just don't feel normal. I have the specialist to see on the 17 of this month. I am nervous, but hope that these feelings that are changing with my body mean I am PG! So all you beautiful women send me baby dust!

There are many things that would have to be considered. When you ovulated, the amount of hormone, etc. can all be things that will impact how quickly a test will be positive. I hope that helps some!

You will usually get a positive result about 14 days after your ovulation date or at the end of your usual luteal phase length.

It also depends on the sensitivity of the test. Many are very sensitive but can be misleading when they say upt to 4 days before your missed period.

Your body doesn't start making pregnancy hormones until after the egg implants, which can vary from 5-10 days after ovulation.

After this happens your hormone levels start to rise but how much they increase per day depends on the level present at the time of implantation.

hello my husband and i have been trying to have a baby for a couple of months now i'm 10 days late so i took a pregnecy test most of them have 2 in the box so the first one said pregent the 2nd said negative so i bought 3 more boxes 2 more came out positive and the rest came out negative and now i have been bleeding what so what do you think i could be also i have been bleeding 2 or 3 times a week on and off whats wrong with me ?????
