Default endometriosis

Hello, I have been TTC #2 for 15 months. #1 was concieved on the first round of femara and an HCG shot (I had already had 3 rounds of clomid- which didn't make me ovulate). I was diagnosed with PCOS and I thought that was the problem. However, I had a laparoscopy this week which showed that I had mild endometriosis. I have never had any symptoms of endometriosis. I had scar tissue around my right ovary. I had that fixed during the procedure. Does anyone know if the endometriosis comes back over time? I didn't really get a chance to talk with my RE after the procedure because I was out of it. My follow-up appt is not for 2 weeks. Is there any other treatment for endometriosis other than decortication? I appreciate any thoughts you all might have.

Katherine

Just lurking...

Endo can return. I believe Lupron has been used to treat it. Janay on the 30s board has experience with endo. You may want to ask her. I'm sure she'd be happy to help you!

The laparoscopy wasn't bad. I checked in the hospital at 6am, the procedure was at 7:30 and I was at home by 1:30. I was out of it that day and sore for 2 days. by the third day I was pretty much back to normal. I have 3 small holes; one in the belly button and 2 below my "bikini line". I got pain meds but I only used them one time (the day of the surgery). If you have any other questions, let me know.

Hi I was lurking and saw your question, and yes endo does return, but for some people slower than others. I have stage IV and had a Laparotomy done almost 2 years ago and I only have minimal now. Lupron and bcp's help suppress endo. I hope that helped some, but if you have any more questions please ask on the TTC 30-something board (I host there and am on every day) I will be happy to give you some endo websites that are very helpful.
