Icon5 Clomid Questions

Hi all,
I'm new to this, but I really needed a place to ask questions of others who are TTC. D.H. and I have been TTC for 18 months. We are under doctor's care and have been taking clomid for the last 4 months. My issue is that we are still on our begining level of clomid which was 50 m.g. Doctor said he's going to keep us there until the end of six months when we take a break and then up the dosage to 100mg. Is this normal??? Everything that I read sounded like you did 50 for two months then went up and up! Does anyone out there know???

I have been on Clomid 50mg for 7 months and my doctor is just now increasing me to 100mg so yes it is normal some doctors do increase earlier but most like to see if it can happen in the six months of 50mg first. I hope that helps I know how frustrating all of this stuff can be.

Is your doctor giving shots or just applying the wait and see approach? I geuss I am just looking for more positive movement since we've been trying for over a year already! We are TTC about 18 months now!!!

my doctor for the moment is playing the wait and see game but he did start me on some Estrace which is Estrogen and Prometrim which is Progesterone to help the process along. I know what it's like having to wait and hoping for a baby every month I have been trying for 3 years next week so I can understand your anticipation believe me I go through it all the time. the best advice I can give you is to pray and trust your doctor. But if you need support at any time I'll be here.

I'm so sorry it's been so long for you! Around me it seems like people are busting out preg. all over. It always amazes me how much faith we have just to be disappointed again and again. We found out yesterday that we are NOT pregnant again! But we will enjoy trying after this! Good luck to you, I hope this is YOUR month!

Thank you , I really know what you mean about everyone being pregnant, just about everyone I know has kids or are pregnant right now and it seems like it is people younger or people that don't even really want kids it can be very frustrating and disappointing. I wish you lots of luck for the next month and I pray that you get your wish.

I know what you mean. I teach in a low income middle school so I constantly see parents who are frustrated with their many children. And I do understand, who isn't frustrated with teenagers! But I don't get how it is so EASY for some people. Yesterday in the news here was a story about a 9 month old baby found dead in a dumpster! I can't even explain my rage at that. There are safe houses all over town, any school, any hospital, any fire station there are drop off zones with NO QUESTIONS ASKED! I just don't understand how some women can literally throw away babies when there are so many people out there who would do anything to have them!
Sorry about the tirade today. I think part of it the clomids!!!

Exactly, I seen that on the news too and it makes me so angry that anyone could just throw out this innocent beautiful miracle. Maybe one day everyone will know what we all know.
