Default Thought maybe I should

introduce myself. I'm Leigh, SAHM to Fiona (7), Eric (4) and Colleen (born 12/15/05). Colleen is my sling addict. LOL She loves to be carried and won't fall asleep unless she is in my Kozy or ring sling. I think she likes the snugness of it.

It's so nice to be able to carry her and still do the laundry, cook, etc. I like that she can retreat when it's all too much for her too. Since I started wearing her most of the day, I noticed that she really pays attention to the world around her. Really watches what is going on. I love that!

I'm just learning the best positions for us to nurse while in the sling or Kozy. I hope to get it worked out so that I can walk around with her nursing and not show off my breasts! LOL They are sorta large, so that's a challenge. LOL

Oh, and I'm hoping to get a MamaRoo baby sling next. ( DH asked me how many carriers I planned on getting and I promised him "not as many as some women have" LOL)

Welcome! I like your siggy pics. what a cutie Coleen is!

My name is Erika, my husband and I have one baby boy Brandon who is 10 months now.

How are you carrying her now? cradle, Kangaroo, or sitting up? (or something else?)

I nurse Brandon sitting up sometimes.

I carry her tummy to tummy alot. If she is wide awake and no where near sleepy, I'll carry her kangaroo/sitting crosslegged forward. To nurse I do cradle in the sling or tummy to tummy in the mai tai. (that's a squeeze, but I've made it work a time or two in a pinch)

She really likes to be in the sling, facing me with her legs hanging down. So she's sitting in the sling. Make sense? I just tighten it around her really well. She doesn't like to be carried in the cradle hold much at all. That only works part of the time that she is sleepy (but not over sleepy).

welcome to the board! I'm Jami (21) single mommy to Caleb (13mos) and Cayden due this July. I just started a new job as a cashier and I'm a bit nervous!

Caleb was never one for the sling although he liked nursing in it (cradle hold) he did like it a bit more once we perfected the hip carry...he has now decided NO SLING. so i'm a bit sad and yet anxious for Cayden to be born
