hi, i am an industrial design student and i am re-designing the diaper bag for a national contest, as part of my research i would like to get some feed back and comments from parents. if you have the time or are interested providing some assistance, it would be greatly appreciated.
here are some questions to help get started.

1.what are the top 3 things that are frustrating when toting around all of your baby goods?
2. name 2 things that you would not change about your bag.
3. do you often carry more than one bag?
4. do you ever have a backache or sore muscles after traveling with your baby and gear for a day?
5.fashion-wise: what would you like to see in a bag? texture? colors? materials? size? shape? etc
5. what is lacking in your current diaper bag
6.do you feel like the diaper bag is non-gender specific [versatile for both mom and dad]
7.what is the most you would spend on a new diaper bag?

Many are too bulky and ugly, bfing moms and ffing moms need different things in a bag, I hate the changing pads in diaper bags...

Love the various compartments, adjustable shoulder straps


3. do you often carry more than one bag?

yes a purse and a diaper bag. I would rather have one that works for both, but most diaper bags are too cutesy to carry as a purse AND many parents have an infant and a toddler both in diapers....so they often have to carry a bag for each... so each can have their bag with them in different nursery school classrooms

4. do you ever have a backache or sore muscles after traveling with your baby and gear for a day?

5.fashion-wise: what would you like to see in a bag? texture? colors? materials? size? shape? etc

I want a bag that looks like a purse in style and yet has the pockets to keep things organized. I hate bags that are padded.

I want something that is small enough to use without store clerks looking at you like you are going to shoplift. LOL

I want it to open fully so I can see the stuff inside of it without having to dig out everything first.

A pocket that is separate and sealed to carry soiled clothes, cloth diapers, etc....on the side away from everything else.


5. what is lacking in your current diaper bag

an ice pack and insulated cooler to keep milk cool

6.do you feel like the diaper bag is non-gender specific [versatile for both mom and dad]

no some are too girlly

7.what is the most you would spend on a new diaper bag?
