I'm so proud of myself!! I have wanted to back carry Katrina for ages, since I never have a chance to do my dishes, so yesterday I finally said "That's it, I am GOING to do this" and after a little bit of experimenting and fussing with the fit and hold and everything, I got Katrina securely into my ring sling and onto my back! She stayed there for about an hour until she wanted to eat and diaper, and then I put her back on my back and she was good with it for another hour and a half.

I got my dishes done yesterday and it felt so good to not have to tell Dh when he got home "I'm sorry hon, she wouldn't let me put her down so I could do the dishes." And then, when he DID get home, in addition to being happy with e about the dishs, and being proud of me for the back carry, he said "I want her!" and he meant in a back carry too! It was so neat. It was actually a lot harder to put her on DH because I couldn't feel how secure she was, so I had to guess and then when she went sliding sideways off of him I had to catch her and fix them.

But we did eventually get it, so now both DH and I have worn Katrina on our backs in the ring sling, and it was just too cool!
My monkey baby, sling-bound. Not only did I manage a back carry on my own, I also took a picture of it with the camera's timer, so i'm doubly proud of this one!
She's sleeping on Daddy's back. Awww!
