I have noticed (in my own experience) that my favorite carry isn't Caleb's favorite carry and that got me thinking...does anyone share their favorite carry with their child?

my favorite carry is the cuddle hold. I loved to hold Caleb as a baby and held him every chance I got until he was 4-5 months old. after that he started *protesting* (no one warned me about that!) and now he likes being held at certain times and in certain ways. He has NEVER liked the cuddle hold in fact I think I wouldn't be far off the mark to say he hated it. He would scream and scream and cry until I took him out.

HIS favorite carry is the hip carry! It is my least favorite carry as I can hold him like that without the sling (although the sling does save my arms!) He won't even try the back carry although I will persevere.

what is your favorite carry position and what's your baby's favorite? can't wait to hear all about it

now that my baby is 7 months, old, my favorite is hip carry with hotsling. It's most comfortable. But when I do the houseworks, back carry is definitely the easiest for me.

Back carry in the Mei Tai (Lilly is just too big for the front carry in it, IMO), and the hip or T2T carry in the Peanut Shell pouch.

Katrina and I both really love the tummy to tummy carry, in either my hotsling or ringsling. I love the freedom of the back carry in my ringsling, but Katrina doesn't seem very fond of it. She usually protests a little bit until I start walking and then she falls asleep. With my toddler, it's hip carry all the way. It's the only way I can sling him, and he's technically too big for the sling now anyway (39 pounds) but the sling is so much easier than just holding him, and he doesn't try to squirm ftree when he's in the sling.
