Default Could someone help me find...

I'm looking for a soft baby carrier type thing that I can have my baby on my front or back with. I have a sling, but I am not comfortable with her on my back because I feel like she will fall out! I use the babybjorn and my sling all of the time, but having her on my front all of the time, gets in the way with the older kids. Is there a carrier/sling that goes on both shoulders and can be worn on your front or back?

I need ideas and LINKS!!!

Thanks!

Let me start by saying I do not have any of these carriers but I have heard good things about them. I am currently on the waiting list for a kozy. The 3 carriers that I have heard a lot of people talk positvely about are a kozy, equanimiy baby mei tai (EBT) and an ergo ( a little pricey but then so is the bjorn) You can go to www.thebabywearer to see reveiws on these carriers
web sites for these carriers are as follows
EBT- http://www.equanimitybaby.com
Kozy- http://kozycarrier.com (there is a waiting list for this one)
ergo- http://ergobabycarrier.com (you can sometimes find one of these on ebay. Other vendors sell these as well.)
I hope this helps.

Well I feel weird about posting this here but I sell this type of carrier. Click on my site to see pics and details. If you are interested give me a yell. Good luck with whichever carrier you choose!

These are some options available to you;
http://www.mobywrap.com/products.php
http://www.birthwithsol.com/rebozos.html

I haven't tried it but am just thinking that some of teh front positions that are used with the double shoulders, if you couldn't just transfer them to the back?!

It might be more difficult as you may need an extra pair of hands to get a baby in that type of postion in a sling. http://ergobabycarrier.com/ may be your best bet in that area.

Good Luck!

Hi Stephanie!

I've heard great things about the Kozy Carrier and I'm dying to get one. I use the Maya for now and it works great front or back, but those Kozys look really comfortable. There's a great site for reviews on mothering.com if you want to see what people are saying about them.http://www.mothering.com/discussions...ysprune=&f=248

Two of my favorites that are pretty verstile are Asian Carriers and wraps.

An asian carrier is a square of fabric with 4 straps the you tie the carrier onto you with. Very adjustable and can be worn on the front or back. the most well known is the Kozy but more can be found at www.TheBabyWearer.com .

Wraps come in a variety. Wraps are a long piece of fabric used to tie the babe too you. They can be tricky at first but after you get the hang of tying its a piece of cake. My fave is the Moby Wrap for front carries. Its also slightly stretchy and you can put this one on without the baby first.

I have also perfected cayying my kiddo on my back in a regular ring sling. I started when she was quite little. The trick is to get a sling thats really adjustable so you can snug them up tight but one thats wide enough so theres lots of fabric holding them in. I use The Baby Space AP and a Silk Zolo for back carries most of the time.

Goodluck!
