I have a ring sling. I have worn ds3 since he was an infant and absolutely LOVE it. Our favorite position has always been tummytotummy. When he became aware, I turned him around for kangaroo.
He's now 7.5 months old.
He hates tummy-to-tummy now because he can't see anything. He leans waaaaay back and if I'm in the solar veil, he stretches it way out and lays almost HORIZONTAL so that he can see.
He also hates kangaroo now. If I am standing still, he starts kicking like he's uncomfortable and trying to escape. Is it possible I have him in wrong? Is he uncomfortable?
He's too young for a back carry according to

I have ruined my hips by carrying around ds2 for miles and miles on them with no sling. It's very uncomfortable on my body now and besides, I always feel like he's going to fall out of the sling in that position. Any advice on how to get him off my hip or maybe why he doesn't feel secure to me?
Does anyone have another position that I don't know about or any advice at ALL is greatly appreciated. I love baby wearing and would like to continue it but I feel like I'm being forced to give it up due to issues out of my control. I hope someone can help.
One more thing, Dr. Sears lists all kinds of weird positions that I've never heard of that I could try if I could see pictures. Does anyone have a link to pictures of them?
