Icon9 Suggestions from successful NCSS parents...HELP!!!

Good Evening all!
I am new to here...I joined so I could get advice...desperately needed advice.
Okay...We have a just turned 3 month old...now before you say anything, I am not expecting overnight results with our LO. We started the training on 7/2/12 I wasn't even planning on starting the NCSS until he was about 3 1/2 months old, but our nights got increasingly worse and worse to the point of it taking 2 hours for him to fall asleep with me by his side, so that night we started! The biggest obstacle that we have overcome so far is him being willing to sleep by himself - prior that he insisted on being held or worn in the wrap. Pretty quickly he adjusted to being put down for sleep. FYI I'm not really that concerned about him learning to "sleep through the night" at this age...we co-sleep so feeding him is simple.

What I need advice on is what has changed. Before starting this he was sleeping a 4-6 hour chunk at the beginning, then waking every 3 hours for feeding until we woke up...but that was with me laying down with him and nursing him to sleep. That big time chunk has now been lost and he is waking every 1-2 hours and absolutely EXPLODES if I don't nurse him. I had been thinking he was revving up for a growth spurt, and have no plans on changing nursing on demand...but I can't tell if he is truly hungry or not. Now this behavior has transitioned into day time. Frantically wanting to eat...like very angry crying until he nurses. When he is awake and not napping he is VERY fussy, smiling one second then crying the next. Now...he did recently get diagnosed with reflux which is being treated...but I really feel that the two things are currently unrelated as he only has this behavior with me. When my mom, MIL, or husband watches him he's perfectly happy and eats every 3 1/2-4 hours (expressed milk). It's kinda heart breaking and VERY frustrating.

Any thoughts?

Thanks
Jessica
