Default From Spain looking for an answer...

Hello to all. I have a 20 month old boy that would ONLY sleep through the night when he's at my mother's house!
At home he usually wakes up 2-4 times during the night. The first couple of times it is a matter of giving him the pacifier back or hold his hand, and he goes right back to sleep. But then he wakes up around 5-6am and would not go back to sleep for the longest time no matter what I do (walk him, offer him a bottle, water, sing to him,...).

But what is confusing me completely is the fact that when I leave him at my mother's to sleep (because I'm on a trip), he doesn't wake up at all and sleeps the whole night through! My mother has to even wake him up around 9:30am because she has to go to work and the nanny is coming.....

My mother uses the same routine than me to put him to sleep, and he also sleeps in a crib over there (a travel one).

What's going on?? Am I doing something wrong?? Is he challenging me or something??? I really don't understand it and it is quite frustrating!!
