Something to think about while you're rocking your lo to sleep!
As I was sorting some stuff out the other day I found this poem that a colleague copied for me when I was pregnant. I don't know who wrote it (and I hope I'm allowed to write it on here!), but I think it is lovely. It makes me think of that bit in NCSS where EP says that one day we'll look back on these sleepless nights (and days!) with fond memories and may even miss them! Anyway, enjoy:
I hope that my child, looking back on today,
Remembers a mother who had time to play.
Children grow up when you're not looking,
There'll be years ahead for cleaning and cooking.
So quiet now cobwebs;dust, go to sleep,
I'm rocking my baby, and babies don't keep.
