I bought a sewing machine after work, along with a lot of fabric and ribbon, etc. I got off at 9 and didn't get home until at least 10:30 I was so excited about it. So I stayed up sewing things until I looked out the window and saw blue sky.

So here is my new toy.

And I have to use the neglected table in my kitchen nook. It's been a catch-all for three years, so I only cleared enough room to use it. So yes, those are old door speakers behind it.

Cara's new favorite thing - and it melts me! It's made of Minkee fabric, but instead of the 3D dot style it's striped.

And I embellished a BCQ - burp cloth quality - prefold (a Gerber from Wal-Mart).



I'll probably do some of the ones we use on her as soon as I'm confident about it. I am going to make more of the blankies, because they are fun to make. I'm about to make a fleece one for her. I'll probably do it tonight when I get off. I'm excited about Monday - I can do it all day! And if anyone is interested in it I can make one for ya! I'm giddy. lol I've never been creative in my life, so I am thrilled that I made something and I can look at it and hold it and think it's cute. Just like the baby. lol

That's so cute! I can tell she loves it too. It looks sooo soft.

I've been thinking about getting a sewing machine but I've never sewn a thing in my life. I really want to try though.
