Default Keeping the moisture at bay

Most of our dipes have a microfleece inner to wick away moisture, but I've started wondering about using something different.

The other night, DD fell asleep in the car ride home, and her nighttime diapers were still drying in the dryer. So, I got a teeny bit creative and took one of her pre-stuffed FBs and laid a reg premium pf over the fleece inner. She usually wets through a reg FB in about an hour, so I thought the pf would help out a bit here. I folded it newspaper-style before snapping the FB. I slid on a pair of recycled longies for extra protection.

Come morning and she was fairly dry. Wet as usual, but she wasn't soaked and there wasn't any redness at all. (I think the fleece may bother her skin sometimes.) Anyhow - that's when I started thinking about cotton/natural fabrics against the skin while she's resting.

Anyone have any input/experience in this area? I'm curious about it as I think I'll prob change our nighttime diapering now since she's in the same diaper for so long.

TIA!

With Caden I couldn't use fleece at all cause it irritated him so badly!!! I love velour for keeping them dry! It is also super absorbent so it is like having a extra layer of absorbency! My nighttime diaper from Katina is velour lined! I have to say in my opinion velour is the best for nighttime diapering. Costly but so worth it!

It seems that the concensus says to go with OV - I have a couple coming my way, too.
I've got to see if Lullaby or HL will make me a nighttime fitted with OV.
Thank you, gals!
