What is the cost difference of cloth vs disposables?


My husband will be deployed right after the baby is born so I don't have to worry about him not wanting to cloth diaper.

I figure if a newborn goes thru 12 diapers a day (I can't remember with DD) 7 days a week and it's 10 dollars per Huggies Pure and Natural diapers for 30 of them the cost per week was 28 dollars a week. So I am just going to generalize and say $1456 a year even though I know they use less diapers later on, but then it's the same cost for less diapers that are bigger.

So how much did you spend in a year on cloth diapering?
