Default New here

Hi! I am Jessica. I am a 23 y/o SAHM to Carter, 17 mths and Gabriella 6 weeks. Carter and I co-slept for a while and Gabriella has now decided she wont sleep anywhere else. I feel extremely guilty and dont get very good sleep. Not to mention my husband and I are sleeping in seperate beds. I dont think theres anything wrong with co-sleeping, I just get scared. But, I would very much like to join this board! I look forward to meeting other parents who co-sleep.

Thanks!

Jessica-

I'm also 23 y/o, with one baby, Ben, who's two months. Don't be scared about cosleeping, it's a wonderful thing. Eventually you'll break your baby of the habt; she won't be sleeping with you forever, if that's what you're worried about. But for now, enjoy it! There is nothing that makes me happier than waking up with my baby cooing beside me... plus it's nice and easy for middle-of-the-night feeds. It's such a pity you and your husband are sleeping in seperate beds, though- can't you work out a way to fit all of you in?!

Co-sleeping is wonderful! I'm not comfortable with letting DD CIO so I keep her in bed with us and she does great! Some days she'll sleep through the night and others, she will wake up between 3-5AM for a feeding. Is your husband sleeping in another bed because there's no room? Is it possible that he's just afraid to roll over on her in the middle of the night? My SO is a little concerned that she will not sleep in her own bed when she's older, but we're getting plenty of rest and finding creative ways to have intimate moments in the meantime.

Hey! I'm new here too! My son (14 months) and I co-sleep. Everyone around me makes me feel like a horrible mother because of it, but it works for my son and I. I like being close to him and there if he needs anything.

Thanks. We have since bought a king sized bed and a co-sleeper thing for her. She now sleeps in the middle and I LOVE IT!! We sometimes get cramped up because we are afraid to roll over her or cover her with the comforter. but other than that, its great. Thanks for the encouragement. I dont think any of us should feel guilty.
