"If you love your baby, put them in the crib".
No, before you start yelling at me, that is not my quote.
That is the quote Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett made today.
Three babies died in Milwaukee (where I live) in the past two months while co-sleeping.
So now Milwaukee is fighting the practice of adults co-sleeping with their babies.
Today, the city health department sent an automated phone message to 1300 daycares in the city urging them to pass safe-sleeping information along to parents.
I co-slept with both my kids and found it a wonderful experience.
What upsets me most about this case is that they are completely ignoring the special circumstances around the deaths of these 3 babies.
The first one involved a grandmother rolling onto a baby. The second one involved an intoxicated mother who was co-sleeping with her baby on the couch. They haven't given details about the last case yet.

This is my first post on this forum by the way. I just really needed to vent about this.
