Default Cosleeping and travel

Hi there,
I'm new here but am really hoping someone might have some wise words of advice for me becuase I'm desperate! I have been cosleeping with my five month old son. My husband is afraid to sleep with him so sleep time is all me. To compound the problem, baby only falls asleep for me with bottle and rocking before laying down (bottle and rocking by me). My husband cannot get him to sleep without taking him for a drive.

Now the real issue, this would all be okay but I have to travel for work next month and then have surgery a week later. During these times, I will be unable to rock baby to sleep and unable to sleep with him. The only option at this point is to arrange for my husband or grandma to stay awake holding baby all night long.

How do others continue co-sleeping when these types of things came up? Did anyone else ever have this issue? I love co sleeping but don't see any other option right now but getting baby into a crib before surgery and travel.

Help!!

THanks so much!!!!!
