Re: co-sleeping issues help!!
Hi there. Sorry about the sleepless nights, it's hard having them start waking up after they've already started sleeping through the night. Obviously something is causing her to wake up, it's just a matter of figuring out what it is. It's possible that she's getting too much sleep during the day, and so she's not as tired at night, and wakes up refreshed and ready to play at 4am. What's her nap schedule like? You could try cutting out a nap, or rearranging the naps so they're earlier in the day, so that she's more tired at night. Or simply move bedtime up an hour or so, see how that works. Also, does she have any teeth yet? My daughter got her first teeth when she was 8 months, and for the couple of weeks of teething that came before that, she was up several times a night. Teething can make them irritable (which is the most talked about symptom) but it can also make them just plain restless. If she is teething, even a little, some baby Orajel on her gums at bedtime might help. Jordan (my little girl) just turned a year and is currently teething her molars and her canines at the same time, so some nights we do Orajel and tylenol, and that seems to help. Hope things get better soon, good luck!
