My dd is 2.5, and my favorite thing used to be that I would wake up and she would smile and give me a hug and say "good morning mommy".
Nowadays she wakes up grumpy, tells me to wake up or get up and turn on the lights. I still love co-sleeping. I love waking up in the middle of the night and watching her hold her blankie

I love the cuddling during the night and the waking up with kisses in the morning.

Oh, definitely the baby kisses. I get the big smile in the middle of the night, tiny arms that wrap around me and then, almost out of the blue, the tiny baby kisses start. It's just heaven....

It's just very soothing to parents and babies to fall asleep together. The closeness is so important. I always co-slept with all of my babies for at least 1 year. After my TTTS babies were born and had to spend 5 months in NICU, I had insomnia because I wasn't able to be with them...since they came home, I have no more sleep issues. The babies are wonderful. They never cry because I'm right there day and night. They "grunt" when they ae hungry and my husband and I take turns feeding them on demand...

Mornings! I wake up to stirring. No crying, just moving. I look over to a GIANT smile. It says, "morning mama!" It warms my heart every morning. (Even after a long night.) It is best when daddy is there too and we can all smile and laugh before even getting out of the bed.
