Default Sling how-to's

Hello there, I haven't posted on this board before. I need some how-to help on sling wearing, and hoping I've come to the right place! A friend of mine has a 6wk old Dd and a 2yr old Ds. Needless to say she would find using a sling very helpful. I gave her mine, but my Dd is 7 and I've forgotten how to put a small infant in (my own 2 3/4yr old Ds didn't like being in it at all). It has a padded shoulder and a ring adjuster. I downloaded instructions from a few websites, but she is finding them difficult to follow. I'd really appreciate it if anyone had any links or advice on how to put the baby in and carry/nurse her.

TIA
Bobbi

I go to www.mayawrap.com when I need some help. They have video you can watch for just about any position. My best advice is to place your baby exactly where you want her and then adjust the sling around that position. Good luck, I'm finding mine very helpful with a 2 yr old and a 2 mo old!

one thing i learned for a newborn, that i didn't see on the video or sites, but learned from other baby-wearin' mamas: swaddle the baby in a light blanket first, then pop her in the sling. they're so limp at that stage, it's hard to get the flailing arms and legs in! i used the swaddle technique and Willow loved it, she was all cozy

is she trying to do 2 slings in the cross-carry?
