yes - I do to! I have a stroller but I have often used my sling - preferring it in places where I know it might be busy or stairs ETC.

anyway - what scares me - this is why I bought a reversable mamas and papas pram ...

when a child is in a stroller facing forwards, and walking along a busy street the child is in the firing line for carrier bags, other kids, dogs, but worst of all and I have had this happen to one of mine (my 10yo) cigarettes. People walk along with a cigarette hold it down to their side without thinking and its just in line with babys face.

I feel so bad for the babies in the travel systems in the mall that are crying and the parents just stuff a bottle in their mouths and keep moving. So sad. Babies NEED to be held.

I hate how strollers have taken over as the "right place" to have your kid.

I never thought to much about it before but yes that does happen a lot. I know what you mean about in the Mall there are lots of parents who dont just take them out.
