Icon5 What does your insurance cover?

I just called my insurace company to see what they cover in the way of infertility testing. The lady said that they cover the testing, but once a diagnosis is made, coverage stops. So, basically, they say, "oh here's your problem, but you pay to fix it." Is this what yours does??

Default Re: What does your insurance cover?

With my last insurance, it was pretty much the same as yours. They covered the bloodwork, appts and surgeries but as for actual 'treatment' it was up to us. Oh, except for the Femara I took. That was covered because it is a drug used when treating breast cancer.

I have actually been thinking about calling my RE again and asking what/if anything could be covered by my insurance since we already know what my diagnosis is.

Good luck!
