Default Temping

This is my second cycle temping and it seems like my temps are all over the place. We sleep with a fan on us in the summer time because the brick building we live in stores a lot of heat from the day so it's really hot in our bedroom even with the A/C on (in the living room). When I wake up I only have the sheet on me and am cold. I'm suspecting that that is affecting the temps. Am I right? Does anyone have suggestions on how I can help this? Or if I am right about it? I'm still not sure which day I ovulated and I know I have to be patient with this. I'm just not seeing a trend with my tempts yet. And how close in do the time of taking them have to be? Some mornings I have to be to work by 7am and some mornings I sleep in because I didn't get off work until 11 the night before. Can there be an hour or two gap between one day and the next? Thanx!

I don't think it's the heat/a/c messing up your temps.

I think you are supposed to do it as close as possible to the same time every day, so that might be your problem. I do it every morning at 6am. If I don't have to get up yet, I just temp and then go back to sleep. My thermometer remembers the temp so I can get it later.

Also, are you using a BBT thermometer or a regular one?

When you say they are "all over the place" what kind of range are we talking about?

Do you have a link to the chart so we can check it out for you?

Well all over the place can happen. But do you see a shift from before you O to after you O? That is the most important part.
For instance before I O I usually have temps anywheres from 97.0 to 97.7. After I O it is usally 97.9 to 98.5.
I agree that if you have a link to your chart it would help us to see what is happening.
I also agree that you do have to take your temps around the same time everyday. Sometimes 6:00 and sometime 8:00 is not a good thing, and then you will see your temps not looking right.
Hope that helps

Well I read on the website I'm using to chart that I can add 1/10 to my temp for every 1/2 hour I'm early and subtract it for every 1/2 hour I'm late. My usual temping time is 930am. I am using a BBT. I will try to get the link to my chart so you can see it. I'm just not seeing a trend with these temps.

This is the link to my chart. This my alternative to fertility friend. It seems to be working out so far. Any help would be much appreciated. I will be testing in the next couple of days so maybe I won't even need to chart anymore. Thank you!

Thank you for the baby dust. Right now I'm on day "34" of my cycle. I say that because my last cycle was 22 days long and the cycle before that was induced my pregesterone. So I have no idea where I am. I am having pregnancy signs but I'm not getting my hopes up. One of two things is happening. Either I am pregnant (YAY) or my pcos symptoms are showing their ugly face because I didn't ovulate. I am temping obviously but because they are kind of weird I don't know if I ovulated or not. I'm really getting sick of this crap.
