Oh I am so excited because today I went in for one of Alaynah's helmet appointments, and they said she has graduated!!!cheerl eader3.gif
She no longer has to wear it! She is helmet free!!!
I knew we were getting close. I thought a month yet. They said in the beginning she would probably be in it for 4 to 6 months. It has only been 3 months!
Even though it was kind of a pain, and being summer she would sweat in it, and I always felt sorry for her to have to sleep in it. It actually was worse on me I think more then her. But now no more going to the appointments. No more cleaning the helmet everyday, and having her head stink. No more people staring at her wondering what was wrong with her!!
Can you tell i am a bit excited.

Jodi.....I don't think you ever told us she had to wear a helmet, did you? I'm thrilled that she has graduated so soon Why did she have to wear it?

I would hate to have to go through months of that too........but you're right, they care less than we do about stuff like that.

wow Holly maybe I forgot to say something about it. But she has had to wear it for 23 hours a day. So it was totally life for us. yes the back of her head was getting flat, and I tried to reposition her extra hard, but she wanted to be on her back all the time, and she just got flat enough she needed the helmet. But it was all worth everything, and now has a prefectly round little head

Oh, I'm so glad that she has graduated from that! What a relief huh? I bet that must have been very hard you you guys and her! I do remember you telling us about that but I think I had forgotten. But YAY!!!
